Connect Zoom
Last updated: October 6, 2026
CertLynx can create a Zoom meeting on the Zoom account you connect. The meeting opens in Zoom. This page explains how to add the connection, how meeting links are created, and how to remove it.
Add Zoom
- Sign in to CertLynx.
- Members open Integrations and click Connect Zoom. Tutors open Tutor settings, choose Zoom, and click Connect Zoom.
- Zoom asks you to allow CertLynx. Approve that request with the Zoom account that should host the meetings.
- CertLynx sends you back to the site. The Zoom row shows Connected, along with the Zoom email you approved.
You can start the same connection from a study group. Schedule a remote session and click connect Zoom in Settings.
Use Zoom
- Schedule a study group session as a remote video call, or schedule a tutoring session.
- Enter the session title, start time, and end time. Click Auto-generate Zoom, or leave the meeting link blank and schedule the session. CertLynx creates the meeting on your connected Zoom account and saves the join link.
- Group members open that link. Zoom opens for the meeting. CertLynx does not host the video inside the CertLynx app.
If Zoom is not connected, paste a Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams link yourself. Auto-generate stays unavailable until a Zoom account is connected.
Remove Zoom
- Sign in to CertLynx.
- Members open Integrations and click Disconnect. Tutors open Tutor settings, choose Zoom, and click Disconnect.
- You can also remove CertLynx from your Zoom account at marketplace.zoom.us. Open Manage, then Added Apps, then CertLynx, then Remove.
Disconnecting stops CertLynx from creating new meetings on that Zoom account. Join links that were already created still open in Zoom. Connect again when you want auto-generate to work.
What CertLynx stores
CertLynx stores the connected Zoom user id, Zoom email, meeting id, and join link so the group can open the meeting. Access tokens are stored so CertLynx can create and read meetings for that user only. See the Privacy Policy for how account data is handled.
