Advertising Policy

This Advertising Policy describes the rules and standards that govern all paid promotions, sponsored content, and ad campaigns running on CertLynx. By submitting an advertiser application or launching a campaign, you agree to this policy in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Eligible Advertisers

Advertising on CertLynx is reserved for organizations whose products or services are relevant to professional certification, career development, exam preparation, and continuing education. CertLynx reserves the right to approve or reject any applicant at its sole discretion.

2. Prohibited Content

Ads must not promote, depict, or facilitate any of the following:

  • Illegal products, services, or activities
  • Misleading claims about exam outcomes, certifications, or earnings
  • Adult, gambling, or weapons-related content
  • Discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, age, or disability
  • Cheating services, leaked exam material, or third-party test-takers
  • Cryptocurrency speculation, MLM/pyramid schemes, or get-rich-quick offers

3. Creative & Disclosure Requirements

  • All claims about pass rates, salary outcomes, or job placements must be substantiated and properly cited.
  • Sponsored content must be clearly labeled as such per FTC guidelines.
  • Logos, slogans, and certification names belonging to third parties may only be used with documented permission.

4. Approval & Moderation

CertLynx reviews every ad campaign before it goes live. We may reject, pause, or remove ads at any time for violating this policy or for any other reason at our discretion. Repeated violations can lead to advertiser account termination.

5. Billing & Refunds

Campaign charges are processed through Stripe. Refunds are issued in the case of: (a) campaigns we cancel due to platform error, (b) campaigns paused before any impressions were served, or (c) demonstrable fraudulent impression activity attributable to CertLynx. Standard refund policy details are described in our Terms of Service.

6. Data & Targeting

Advertisers may target campaigns by certification interest and broad demographic signals provided by users. CertLynx does not share individual user data or personally identifiable information with advertisers. Advertisers must comply with all applicable data protection laws including GDPR and CCPA.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Advertising Policy from time to time. Continued use of CertLynx advertising features after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
