Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines apply across the CertLynx website and mobile applications, including videos, photos, posts, comments, forums, study groups, profiles, messages, and other interactive features. They form part of the rules for using CertLynx together with the Terms of Service.

1. Respectful Conduct

Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, stalking, targeted abuse, repeated unwanted contact, or coordinated abuse is not permitted.

Hate speech and hateful conduct are prohibited, including attacks, dehumanization, threats, or promotion of exclusion or violence based on protected characteristics.

2. Sexual Content and Child Safety

Pornographic, sexually explicit, sexually exploitative, or non-consensual sexual content is prohibited.

CertLynx has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Content involving sexual exploitation of minors, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, or content that depicts, promotes, requests, facilitates, or normalizes sexual abuse or exploitation of a child is strictly prohibited.

CertLynx will remove prohibited child-safety content when it becomes aware of it and will preserve and report information to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), law enforcement, or another appropriate regional authority when required by applicable law.

3. Self-Harm, Dangerous Conduct, Violence, and Gore

Do not post content that encourages, promotes, instructs, or glorifies suicide, self-harm, dangerous challenges, or serious violence. Graphic or gratuitous gore and content primarily intended to shock, threaten, or disturb other users is not permitted.

4. Spam and Constructive Participation

Use community spaces for certification preparation, professional learning, study support, career development, and related discussion. Spam, repetitive promotion, deceptive engagement tactics, disruptive posting, scams, and unsolicited commercial solicitation are prohibited.

5. Privacy and Confidential Information

Do not publish another person's private or confidential information without permission. Do not share passwords, authentication information, private account information, confidential employer or client information, or other information you are not authorized to disclose.

6. Exam Integrity

Do not request, upload, sell, distribute, or facilitate access to stolen, leaked, recalled, or otherwise unauthorized exam questions or protected testing materials. Do not arrange impersonation, third-party test-taking, or other conduct intended to bypass certification or testing rules. Legitimate discussion of exam topics, study strategies, publicly available outlines, and authorized preparation resources is welcome.

7. Intellectual Property, Authenticity, and Lawful Use

Only upload content you have the right to use. Do not infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other rights. Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent credentials or affiliations, engage in fraud, distribute malicious software, compromise accounts, or use CertLynx to facilitate unlawful activity.

8. Tutor and Commercial Conduct

Only users approved through CertLynx's tutor verification process may represent themselves as verified CertLynx tutors or offer paid tutoring through features where CertLynx permits it. Learner accounts may not be used to evade verification or authorized payment processes.

9. Reporting and Blocking

Use the in-app and website reporting tools to report content or users that appear to violate these Guidelines. CertLynx provides blocking functionality so users can prevent unwanted interactions with abusive users. Reports are handled as confidentially as reasonably possible, although information may be disclosed when necessary to investigate, enforce policies, protect users, or comply with law.

CertLynx aims to review reports promptly and, where practicable, within 24 hours. Complex matters may require additional time. For urgent child-safety concerns or other support, contact support@certlynx.com.

10. Enforcement

CertLynx considers the nature, context, severity, and history of violations. Enforcement may progress from a warning to temporary suspension and permanent account termination. Serious violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without a prior warning.

CertLynx may also remove content, limit features, restrict community participation, preserve relevant records, or take other action reasonably necessary to protect users, the Platform, or comply with law.

11. Appeals

Users may appeal eligible enforcement decisions through CertLynx's appeal process. An appeal should explain why the decision should be reconsidered and provide relevant context. CertLynx may uphold, modify, or reverse the original decision after review.

12. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines as features, legal requirements, and community needs evolve. The “Last Updated” date indicates the most recent revision.
