Prohibited Content and Behavior

The following behaviors and content are strictly prohibited on CertLynx.

Hate Speech and Discrimination

  • Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Slurs, derogatory language, or symbols targeting specific groups
  • Content that dehumanizes or promotes violence against individuals or groups

Harassment and Bullying

  • Targeted harassment, intimidation, or threats against other users
  • Doxxing or sharing personal information without consent
  • Persistent unwanted contact or communication
  • Coordinated harassment campaigns

Violence and Threats

  • Threats of violence against individuals or groups
  • Content that glorifies or promotes violence
  • Instructions for creating weapons or harmful substances
  • Content that encourages self-harm or suicide

Inappropriate Content

  • Sexually explicit content or pornography
  • Content involving minors in inappropriate contexts
  • Graphic violence or gore
  • Content that violates privacy or dignity

Spam and Misinformation

  • Repetitive, unsolicited, or irrelevant content
  • Deliberately false or misleading information
  • Scams, phishing attempts, or fraudulent schemes
  • Unauthorized advertising or promotional content

Enforcement and Consequences

How we handle violations and what to expect

Progressive Enforcement

We use a progressive enforcement system that escalates based on the severity and frequency of violations:

Warning

First-time minor violations

Temporary Suspension

Repeated or moderate violations

Permanent Ban

Severe violations or repeated offenses

Content Removal

Immediate removal of violating content

Appeal Process

If you believe an action was taken in error, you can submit an appeal through our appeal form. Appeals are reviewed by our moderation team within 1-3 business days.

Reporting Violations

Help us maintain a safe community by reporting inappropriate content

If you encounter content or behavior that violates our community guidelines, please report it immediately. You can report content by clicking the "Report" button on any post, comment, or message.

What happens when you report?

  1. Your report is immediately sent to our moderation team
  2. We review the content and context within 24 hours
  3. Appropriate action is taken based on our guidelines
  4. You receive a notification about the outcome (when possible)

All reports are confidential. The reported user will not know who submitted the report.
